Dust and rust

Dust and rust

You can’t see my smile, you said,

Your vision is blurred by dust.

Neither can I see your smile, I said,

So is my vision blurred by dust.

In our eyes, what made dust spread?

A wise man answered,

In your hearts, it’s called distrust.

You can’t feel my heart, you said,

Your touch is calloused by rust.

Neither can I feel your heart, I said,

So is my touch calloused by rust.

On our fingers, what made rust spread?

A wise man answered,

In your hearts, it’s called distrust.
