Today is Good Friday, no school, but sports practice is on in the morning from 9:00-11:00. Before waking him up I had a walk outside. It is a winter-feeling day in early spring, the temperature dropped to 27F(-2C). with the protection of heavy jacket, I didn’t feel being hurt by the nasty breeze and chilly air.
No birds singing, no sunshine, the sky is pale grey without a slice of cloud. I walked and thought my memories of the nature in the past 12 months. I started my observation and record of nature since end of March in 2020, to today, it’s a record of a whole year. I begin understanding why poet徐志摩 likes the month of April, saying the most beautiful scenes are in days of April. As a Chinese poet, his theory should be based on the scenes he observed in south of yangzi river China江南, where his hometown is. But from my observation to a small town in CT of US, his theory comply to here too. So I should say people living in the earth, if only they live in a similar natural environment, have similar moods, no matter what races they are, similar feelings should be evocated.
Snow flurries didn’t come last night till this morning about 5 minutes after I walked out of my home. The snow was so tiny and light, without glasses on, they will be neglected by my poor vision. When I saw a patch of bright silver white sky, I told myself, “ok, the sun is there, the snow flurries will go soon.” my predication was right, a few minutes later, no more snow flurries danced around me.
