  • No offense - 没有冒犯的意思 - short for "No offense intended". It's used before an "offensive" statement in hoping to tone down the reaction. The speaker is fully aware that what they're about to say may cause offense and does not want to cause listeners to feel hurt, angry, or upset。
    • "No offense, but I think you are rude. " -
  • None taken - 没有接受 - usually it is a response when someone says, "no offense" you can say, "none taken". It means you are not offended, or upset, by their statement.
No offense, but I think you are mistaken.
    • 乙: "None taken, I see your points."
比如:“you did this(你做了这)”比“you only did this( 你做了这)”听起来好一些。不料儿子说:"I am not taken.
