I probably will never quit working because money is the more the merrier and not working is too boring. So I need to work, not just for money but to feel alive. My job now is standing for 6 to 7 hours straight behind a counter, slicing cheese and deli meat or making sandwiches and taco kits. It could be tiresome and pretty hungry, even though there's plenty of food in front of you, but my coworkers are not complaining about it. Most of them are middle aged or elderly people. I don't think all of them need to work to make a living. For the old man that has a bent back and slow memory, working at the grocery store is probably the best part of his life, maybe better than sitting home on social security checks and waiting to die. Retirement is not a must-be anymore because more and more people cannot afford slowing down, either financially, physically or mentally. Work till death is better than dying in a nursing home on the front porch.
