回复 '7grizzly' 的评论 : Thanks, my friend, for stopping by. Squirrels are like a pest now, more damaging than rats. Last night I saw four of them, big and small, like a family, climbing a tree together in the front. They multiply quick, and living in a community like this, it's like a haven, as eagles or vulture could hardly spot them.
My backyard is small, but whenever there are sprouted potatoes in the kitchen, I would plant them in the backyard. So I also have some of them here and there. You will be surprised how fresh they will be from your own backyard (its skin could be very thin, which you can peel it off using nails:) I think one day I will try Shepherd's pie, as I bet J will like it too.
With alternating rains and recent warm temperature, the flowers are mostly in full bloom, or actually fading. They are evanescent anyway:).
Thanks my friend. Have a great month of May!

Great views of the trails. They look so inviting as if saying "go home and lift some weight and come back!" :-)
Sorry to hear about your trouble with the squirrels. They do seem to be local. My neighbors' loquats have bumper crop every year. I myself think the fruit have too many seeds.
I planted 18 holes of Russet in my front yard garden out of six costly organic potatoes from the farmers market. (I was going to make Shepherd's pie with them but changed my mind when I saw the bill.) Three weeks later, 12 of them sprouted out of soil. I am full of great expectations :-)
