I have an easy solution: Ray Dalio for President or at least Secretary of State (note that he is interested in either one) : he has too much knowledge, clout and experience to make a huge difference with China and other countries in general.

1dSo where would we invest for wealth preservation in the event of a military conflict between the US and China. I have followed all the posts and have read the writings and the deduction is that we should invest in neutral countries as both the US and China are likely to suffer financially and economically.
