I don't have parents living with me, but I need to go to work every day besides the weekend. Every morning we got up at around 6:40, kids boarding buses, adults driving to work by 7:10. I have to be in the classroom by 7:30 before the students arrive. Our first bell is at 8 am.
We don't often go on vacation and even more rarely go together because we have poultry in the backyard, six ducks and two geese. If we need to leave together, then we'd have to pay for the pet sitter. But we do go out separately in Spring and Summer in groups, to Florida, Vermont and Ohio. Three times a year, and at the same time every year, in February,June and July.
I do things like clockwork, following the same schedule strictly, depending on the days of the week and the months of the year. Going to another country or any other place is very undesirable for me and my family. My daughter doesn't want to go to Istanbul for a music camp even though she likes playing music. It would be way too far and too expensive, she said. Like father, like daughter.
