英文没有能确切表达“外地人”的字,据网上字典,在不同场合可以说visitor, traveler, tourist, stranger, outlander, from out of town, outsider等,都反映不出中国“外地人”低人一等的社会地位。

Trump.

I've lived in NC for 13 years, never heard of Hertford. It's located on the border of Virginia and NC, on the Northeast side. I live in the center of the state, southeast of Raleigh.
I never felt like an outsider in this state, because I lived in Georgia for 12 years before moving here. So I've lived in the South for more than half my life, it's totally my home now. I feel surprised that some Chinese expats feel like outsiders after living in the same environment for decades. People ask about the originality of others out of curiosity. The only people that would ask where you came from are the people that you see often, like at the work place, church or synagogue. After seeing you many times, people would feel more comfortable with the question out of curiosity. Partly because the American population is so diverse, people are from everywhere in the world, it's a very natural question to ask. Mr.Trump, to me, is just another politician. I'm not worried too much about him. I've voted for him twice and next time, I'd still vote for him. Why? Because I don't like either Hilary Clinton or Sleepy Joe. I'd rather vote for Trump than for those people. There was one time, I had to choose between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. I hated them both! Politicians all suck.
