Yes, my daughter loves the youth orchestra she's in. My son also loves playing his cello, even though he's only 6 years old.
Music, especially classic music, is very good for kids' development. It reduces stress and helps them stay focused. And it's wonderful to have friends playing music together.
Too bad we never had a chance to learn to play an instrument as kids in the 1980s. There was never any music education besides singing in the classroom when I was a kid. The songs about walking with grandma on the beaches, riding the boat on the lake, climbing the mountains to look for flowers, etc...haha. Many Taiwanese and Japanese children's songs. I loved to sing it to myself on my way to and from school.
