一名12岁男学生于2021年被麦康蒙性侵。她拨打200多通电话给他，还通过社交平台Snapchat传送露骨照片。女老师还传讯息威胁男生不准断绝关係，否则她“就自杀”。
2023年有家长举报其对学生发不当简讯，8月24日她被学校停职，9月8日因性犯罪被捕；但期间保释出狱又和受害者联繫，重回监狱。
本就育有2个孩子的麦康蒙告诉12岁男生，自己怀上他的孩子，并准备将其生下。据报DNA检测证实这一说法。法官把新生儿抚养权判给受害男生母亲，女教师将不得与出生后的婴儿接触，并且不得假释、吊销教师执照、登记为性暴力罪犯。
男生母亲表示，麦康蒙“会在地狱里被焚烧”。
