据悉，其中一架飞机载有美国国会议员，事故没有造成人员伤亡。美国联邦航空管理局将对此次事件展开调查。
今年以来，华盛顿里根国家机场附近发生多次事故。美东时间1月29日晚，美国一架载有64人的客机与美军一架载有3人的直升机相撞坠河，无人生还。3月28日，一架达美航空空客A319客机在从里根国家机场起飞时，与一架美国空军T-38喷气机险些相撞，驾驶舱内碰撞警报响起。
