When all is said and done, we will know whether the three years of collective suffering of 1.4 billion Chinese is worth it. The battle is just beginning and the casualties start piling up.

And because of their lack of legitimacy to rule, the dictators are obsessed with creating white elephant projects to show their superhuman abilities. Mao was famous for his Great Leap Forward that eventually caused tens of millions of Chinese to starve to death. Xi’s zero-COVID brought suffering to a billion of its citizens and he had to abandon it in the end and let the I’ll-prepared Chinese to fight the virus themselves.
