I spend zero dollars going to work, except for the gas. And my commute takes about 3 to 5 minutes of driving. Breakfast at home, lunch is packed at home. If I want to have an extra cup of coffee on the way, it's $1/cup from a general store (a chic antique store) in the neighborhood. kids spend more on afternoon snacks than I do. $8 to $10/day for snacks after their after school activities, martial arts, math tutoring, etc...
