两党的政客在这件事上，立场基本一致，都主张雇员应更多地去办公室上班。
各个城市的市长都着急，也都希望雇员全部回办公室，这样才有利于当地的经济。
文章讲到在DC，目前不论政府和私营部门，去办公室上班的，只有疫情前的一半。

其实这种现象在全国，在私企也一样。因为疫情，大家发现，很多工作，原来可以在家里远程完成。当然，有的人说，大家一起在办公室上班，有利于培训新人，效率更高，会有更多的创造性。 文章举了个例子： But ideas blossom and serendipitous moments produce creative work when people share common space. 硅谷工匠： I suspect if you really work in the Silicon Valley, where teleworking is commonplace among the IT workers. There is nothing unfair about it. A lot of people are paid much higher than you. Would you think it is unfair, regardless of their physical presence, on or off campuses?
For those who would like to work from home, they should choose the type of jobs that does not require face-to-face contact with the people they serve. If you choose to be a nurse, you have to work in a hospital. However, if you choose to be a tax auditor for a government, you may not have to go to the government facilities everyday. It simply a matter of career choice. Do not feel resentful。

不但政府，现在公司白领teleworking也不少，所以办公室地产十分承压。只是中国不普遍。

I wish factory workers, nurses, doctors, hotel workers can all work from home. This is very unfair that some people in some places basically get paid without every showing up.
