His statement has just opinions, no facts or evidences to back his opinions.
No father will tell the son the ugly parts of his life.
薄瓜瓜 is still "green", even though he has MS from Harvard.

相比正常法律政治文件,更像日常语言。语法用词简单,很容易阅读。

虽然我不相信你声明所说,但如果我是你,这个时候就是学做鹌鹑。你的父母与你都一个德行————张扬!

"He has always taught me to be my own person" = "He should not be responsible for my own actions."

A very politically right yet well written statement by 薄瓜瓜, a statement should come from a son.
He surely has a potential to become a politician, in a western style though, at least from his current statement. But he will be under reality test, and he needs to figure out which style (eastern or western) suits him.
All his statements were written in English for English-speaking audience. Sounds like he is trying to pave his way for his future stay in the US (at least during his father's turbulent period.). He knew whatever he would say can't change the verdict on his father, therefore he wrote in English to vent out what a son should say to paint his public image, that's at lease what a son can do.
It is hard to imagine he is betting the western to save his father, otherwise, too much western education is blamed for.

真有乃父之风,虚伪,不要脸,还想学他爹愚弄人。
本来还对他有些同情,真不可救药。

Whoever has problems with his English is likely to be someone who has no idea who to properly speak English. This political message is about as good as it can get.
P.S. As you issued a "Statement" in English your name should be Gua Gua Bo or Bo, Gua
gua. You shouldn't write such Chinese-English as a Harvard Student.
