That way the collision would be avoided or at least minimized. The motorist who apparently did not leave enough space from Emma. So his motorcycle hit the car with a fatal impact( I doubt whose speed even was too high!) when the woman stopped suddenly!
So, in this case, both parties were responsible: The woman must have her emergency light turned on. The guy must keep enough safe space from her and not be drove fast!
Nothing was wrong with her to stop on the traffic in order to save the ducklings. Her fatal mistake was she did not turn the emergency light on to let the behind motor drivers to know that there is an emergency ahead, have to slow down and stop.
