Four groups in America were polled about their impressions of China -
1. General Public
2. Opinion Leaders
3. Congressional Staff
4. Business Leaders
One question they were asked is
How do you view China's emergence as a military power - as a serious threat to the US, a potential threat, no threat, or is China an ally to the US?
Two to three times as many Congressional Staff (36%) members think that China is a serious threa to the US compared to the General Public (15%), Opinion Leaders (12%) and Business leaders (16%).
