Scientists have discovered three trees in California's Redwood National Park which are taller than the tree previously believed to be the world's tallest living thing.
The San Francisco Chronicle says the tallest of the trees reaches just over 115m, which is 2.4m taller than the previous record holder.
The other newly discovered trees also exceed the previous record.
The trees were discovered this summer by a team of California researchers searching dense forest in a remote part of the park.
Officials are not revealing their exact locations and no trails lead to the area to prevent an onslaught of tourists.
