丁善本（罗嘉良）在澳洲公干时邂逅了程天蓝（宣萱）。回港后，本卷入了一宗金铺劫案中，检控官正是蓝……
本六岁时，父母因沉船意外双殁，弟不知所踪。本为丁荣邦（秦沛）所救。邦视本如亲子，把金业交给他打理，本却因邦与犯罪集团勾结而被怀疑接收贼赃。本想不到，拘捕自己的竟是亲生弟弟钟守康（温兆伦）！本与蓝的关系僵住了，其后虽水落石出，本的家庭背景却始终妨碍着二人的发展。本因邦而多次与康发生冲突。本为免影响的前途，决定不与康相认。另方面，本知道康钟情于蓝后，忍痛抽身。
未几邦去世，本为报答邦，决心斩断家族生意与黑道的关系，却因在过程中不得不采取非法手段而被蓝及康误会。本面对亲弟不能认，遇上真爱不能爱。更甚者，连义弟丁善行（林峰）亦怀疑本杀父谋产。为了手足情，本将已走入正途的家族生意拱手让给行。本渐渐得到康及蓝的谅解时，却因行重回黑道而再次卷入江湖斗争中。本最后不惜牺牲自己……
