儿子却抬起头,一本正经地说:“Let'scount after we see the lightning until we hear the thunder. The distance from the place of the thunder to us is the number we count multiply by 1000 feet.”
Where did you get this?”
“I read a book a while ago and learned from it. It said that every second the sound goes about 1000 feet.”
Really? I thought the speed of sound is much faster.”
Sounds like you forget everything you learned from your physics class. You brother is correct--about 1000 feet per second.”
See, I am smart, right, daddy?”
“Of course, you are smart. As long as you work hard, you can do anything in the future.”
