cc is increasing showing signs of readiness to daycare. she really enjoys companies and constantly asks to go out for a walk and play. i talked to a mother who sends her daughter to a family daycare, she showed me the daycare and it turned out to be better than my expectation.
we went there during pickup time and i expected to see some mess but the whole place was clean and very neat. it's small but very cozy. cc was scare the moment we stepped into that room, since she is scared of new places. but after telling her there are toys around, she was happily exploring the place and the piano herself while i was busy talking to the care provider.
it's a small family daycare which only takes max 10 children in a time and they have at least 2 adults taking care of the children at the same time. i am fairly happy with the ratio. from our conversation, they sound very professional, patient, and loving. i threw tons of questions and they answered patiently with smiles all the times, which makes me feel really comfortable with them.
i do like the daycare and believe cc will be well taken care of, plus the mother gives very high credit to it. but the daycare only expect to have space available two months later.
my plan is to send her once in a week for testing, if she is ok with the daycare and such change, i will arrange it to 2 days per week. she still could enjoy story time in the library and the rest of the week will be going to the zoos and museums. if this works well, she will be ready for the preschool next year.
