For years, Dave and I had been going to our local air show which we thought was pretty good, until we saw Dayton Air Show yesterday. It's not just good, it's awesome!
The day started out as cold and cloudy, with temperature stayed in the 60s for most of the day. There was heavy cloud in the sky, and light rain falling on and off for ~30 minutes in the afternoon when US Navy F-18 Super Hornet was performing. Only US Army Golden Knights cancelled their demonstration due to low cloud ceiling.
1. Brazilian Smoke Squadron Demonstration in 7 propeller airplanes.
2.
3. B-2 flyover. It's really cool to see B-2. I only wish it could fly back and forth a couple of times. Instead, it's one pass and one pass only.
4. US Air Force A10 Thunderbolt II with P-51 Mustang.
5. The beginning of "Tora Tora Tora" where 9 or 10 replica Japanese aircraft used in the movie of the same name recreated the attack on Pearl Harbor.
6.
7. With smoke from the planes and the "bombs", the whole scene seemed so chaotic.
8. At the end of the Demonstration, there were so much smoke, we could barely see a thing, just in time for lunch break.
9. After lunch, there was US Air Force C-17 Globemaster II Demonstration. C-17 is amazing. It is gigantic, yet it have short takes-off and landing, and can make really tight turns.

12. B-52 flyover.

26. See how big C-5 is on the ground.
