你不会有读《重返1976》带来的历史真相感，只会强烈地感到，我们的庸常生活在这个快速变化的大时代是如何飞快消失，不文一名的———假如没有张涛这样记录生命经历的人。我非常喜欢河南作家何频先生为这本书写的序言：

    “在通往罗马的大道或小路上从古到今皆稠人，每个人都免不了琐碎、羁绊，也曾经历惠风和太阳。倒是记什么、写什么、画与表现什么，用哪一条线串将起来，为什么这样串，就要看善恶和趣味了。”
