field depth - 01

I try to get shallow field depth by using a 18-105 zoom lense. I find it is hard. When you use 45mm, the max. apenture is F/4.8. But D7000 really performs well in low light with high ISO. Well, I may need to get a Prime 35mm/f1.8g. I have heard it gives you unexpected good image quality and blury background.
