Today is National Day of China.A special day for all the Chinese.

Here, it is a regular day with regular activities.

We went to baby program as all the Mondays.Today we had a guest speaker Maria to talk about the importance and how to reading to a baby.

It is never too early to read to your baby.As soon as your baby is born, she starts learning.Just by talking to,playing with, and caring for your baby every day,you help your baby develop language skills necessary to become a reader.By reading with your baby, you foster a love of books and reading right from the start. There are tips to help your baby become a happy and confident reader.Tips as snuggle up with a book, choose baby-friendly books, keep books where your baby can reach them, talk with your baby all day long, encourage your baby's coos, growls and gurgles, give baby a hand, develop a daily routine(make reading part of it),sing, read, repeat, read your baby.

There are also tips of how to read with a squiggly baby-read before bed,but don't wait too long, choose fun, brightly colored books, sing along,or have some rhyme time,be expressive, keep your favorites by your side, help your child develop a reading habit.

Remember-children who enjoy books will want to learn to read.It is called print motivation.

Being able to hear the smaller sounds in words helps children sound out written words. Most children who have difficulty reading have trouble in this area.It is called phonological awareness.

Reading to your baby is a wonderful way to introduce them to the world while creating bonding moments together.

Children who is under two years old are better away from TV,computer or I pad for over situmulating their brains.Children who are over exposed to TV tend to have short attention span.

Reading in your own language to your baby is great for her to learn your mother tongue. They will learn English fast when they go to school.

I shall read to my baby everyday. I hope she becomes a good reader when she is bigger.
