Top fashion pieces of 2015: Kate Moss's sweater, Alexa Chung's shoes
Well, we'll take one of each of these, thanks (apart from that one pair of jeans).
E-commerce site Lyst looked at data from all over the world, and has come up with the top trending fashion item for every month of the year, the Daily Mail reports.
While the trends are definitely dominated by the Northern hemisphere, we've still seen a lot of these pieces floating around. If they could float towards our wardrobes, so much the better.
Join us as we relive the year in clothes, shoes and handbags.
JANUARY
A favourite of Kate Moss, this sweater is wearable, warm and a little bit Patti Smith. We'd happily wear it, though $628 is more than we've ever paid for knitwear.
It also comes in red.
FEBRUARY
Another pick straight from the Northern winter. These were seen on New York socialite Olivia Palermo, and the brand describes them as "unequivocally the hottest boot of the season".
This would be one pair of boots to try on before ordering.
MARCH
Made with Italian vegetable tanned leather and featuring a detachable wallet, this is a pretty practical and gorgeous bag.
Miranda Kerr's a fan, and our only quibble would be that it's not lined.
APRIL
Maybe it's just us, but the phrase "comes in black and leopard print" fills us with joy. These flats are adorable, and that little gold heel is a nice touch.
We'll take one of each in a nine, thanks.
MAY
Seen here on Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones, this dress prompted two colleagues to exclaim over how much they wanted it.
We're inclined to agree: It's bang on for attending a wedding, or pretty much any other festive event.
JUNE
Now here's one that's about right for our current season, but we're still unconvinced on the whole idea of a woven pair of togs.
They're meant to be very flattering, but with the sag potential, we'd need to be convinced.
JULY
It's easy to see why these were so popular in the middle of the year: You can't go wrong with a classic sneaker.
Spotted on Katie Holmes and David Beckham, and by the state of our Asos cart, soon on the Stuff Life & Style team.
AUGUST
File this one under "if only". We love the heavy silver fastening, we love the combo of smooth leather and suede, we love the shape.
However, in this life or the next, we're not going to be in a position to spend nearly US$2000 on a handbag.
SEPTEMBER
We're possibly biased towards Kiwis, but doesn't this have a bit of a Ruby vibe to it?
Tibi, based in the US, call it a must-have for its on-trend neckline and romantic sleeve ties.
OCTOBER
There's '90s nostalgia, and then there's these. Maybe we're outing ourselves as hopelessly unfashionable, but these seem like a strange design choice.
Seventies flares are one thing, jeans that intentionally look like you grew out of them are another.
NOVEMBER
Where Alexa Chung goes, the rest of the world follows, and so was the case with these mid-heeled Topshop shoes.
We're loving that toe shape and that delicate ankle strap.
DECEMBER
There's still a couple of weeks left in the year, so we're not sure how they finished this one off, but isn't it a beauty?
This bag comes in about a million colours and sizes, and it's been spotted on Kate Bosworth's arm. That's good enough for us.
Out of our price range for sure, but we can dream.
