供養清淨法身毗盧那佛

圓滿報身盧舍那佛
TO THE PERFECT REWARD BODY NISHYANDA BUDDHA

千百億化身釋迦牟尼佛

極樂世界阿彌陀佛
IN THE LAND OF UL-TI-MATE BLISS TO A-MI-TA-BHA BUD-DHA

當來下生彌勒尊佛

十方三世一切諸佛

三德六味,供佛及僧;
THE THREE VIR-TUES AND THE SIX FLA-VORS, ARE OF-FERED TO THE BUD-DHA AND SAN-GHA

法界有情,普同供養;
TO ALL BE-INGS OF THE DHAR-MA REALM, WE REN-DER THIS U-NI-VER-SAL OF-FER-ING

若飯食時,當願眾生:
NOW AS WE HAVE THIS MEAL BE-FORE US, WE MAKE A VOW FOR ALL LIV-ING BE-INGS:

憚悅為食、法喜充滿!
MAY THEY TAKE DHY-A-NA BLISS FOR FOOD, AND BE FULL WITH THE JOY OF THE DHAR-MA!

唯那師呼:
The leader says:

佛制比丘,食存五觀,散心雜話,信施難消。大衆聞磬聲,各正念。
THE BUDDHA TOLD THE BHIKSHUS: WHILE EATING, OBSERVE THE FIVE COMTEMPLATIONS. A SCATTERED MIND AND CONFUSED TALK MAKE THE OFFERINGS OF THE FAITHFUL HARD TO DIGEST. GREAT ASSEMBLY, AT THE SOUND OF THE BELL, EACH BE PROPERLY MINDFUL

阿彌陀佛!
AMITABHA!

 

【三念】
THREE RECOLLECTIONS

願斷一切惡 願修一切善 誓度一切眾生
I VOW TO CUT OFF ALL EVIL. I VOW TO CULTIVATE ALL GOOD. I VOW TO SAVE ALL LIVING BEINGS

【五觀】
FIVE CONTEMPLATIONS

一、記功多少,量彼來處。
1. CONSIDER THE AMOUNT OF WORK INVOLVED TO BRING THE FOOD TO WHERE IT IS EATEN

二、忖己德行,全缺應供。
2. CONSIDER WHETHER OR NOT ONE’S VIRTUOUS CONDUCT IS SUFFICIENT TO ENABLE ON TO ACCEPT THE OFFERING.

三、防心離過,貪等為宗。
3. GUARD THE MIND FROM TRANSGRESSION, OF WHICH GREED IS THE PRINCIPLE CAUSE.

四、正事良藥,為療形枯。
4. PROPERLY TAKEN, THE FOOD IS LIKE MEDICINE, TO KEEP THE BODY FROM WASTING AWAY.

五、為成道業,應受此食。
5. THIS FOOD IS ACCEPTED ONLY IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THE WAY.

【結齋】
MANTRA AND VERSE TO END THE MEAL

薩哆喃,三藐三菩陀,俱胝喃,怛姪他,唵,折隷、主隷、準提,娑婆訶。所謂布施者,必獲其利益,
THEY WHOPRAC-TICE MAK-ING OFF’-RINGS, WILL CER-TAIN-LY OB-TAIN THEIR RE-WARD;

若為樂故施,後必得安樂!
THEY WHO TAKE DE-LIGHT IN GIV-ING, WILL LAT-ER SURE-LY FIND PEACE AND HAP-PI-NESS.

飯食已訖,當願眾生:
NOW THAT THE MEAL HAS BEEN CON-CLUD-ED, WE MAKE A VOW FOR ALL LIVING BE-INGS:

所作皆辦,具諸佛法!
MAY THEY HAVE SUC-CESS IN ALL THEY DO, AND BE PER-FECT IN ALL BUD-DHA-DHARMAS!
