在荔枝的博客看到美国诗人罗伯特。弗罗斯特这首“未择之路”。 荔枝的中译版本据说是流行版本, 读起来还是觉得没有译出原诗的韵味。 本来想自己试一下, 翻网了解这首诗原委之时发现了另外一个版本, 很是喜欢, 觉得自己去译不能出其右, 遂放弃。 记下译者网址, 抄录如下, 与大家共享。

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

黃葉林中,分出兩條小路,
遺憾的是,我無法同時涉足。

弗罗斯特的这首“未择之路”让我想到Allen去年写的一首诗。 不到九岁的孩子开始思考有关生命的话题,让我禁不住惊诧, 给记录了下来。回首再看, Allen的这首 “生命像一个迷宫” 和弗罗斯特的“未择之路”有着异曲同工之妙。

Life is Like a Maze

Life is like a maze
where you have to get out right
with many twists and turns
and no end in sight.
Many intersections
and no clues?
you feel that if you keep wandering,
you'll eventually play the blues!
You'll eventually come
to a dead end and die,
but what will you die from,
attempting to suicide?
Life is like a maze
with many days
but if you don't make the wrong turns
you'll end up celebrating many holidays!
Life is like a maze
especially when you're lost
in a rainforest, or jungle
and desert; jeez, it's hot!
With death, glory, and warlocks
but also loving ones who care
like family
or even pets like a hare!
With random animals
some who don't wanna be your friend
but others will accompany you
down a dangerous bend!
Glorious life
it is like a maze
next time you think about it
you know that everyone is mazing through life's haze!

那里面
小道曲折 岔路重重
极目远眺 不知所终
为了找到那个出口
每个旅人
都在朝着认定的方向 踽踽而行

那条路才能通向光明?
终止你的徘徊吧 朋友
无休止的迂回
只会把你带入蓝色的深谷
忧郁的树丛

你以为你会死在那里
可是你怎么会在一条静寂的路的尽头死去呢

日复一日年复一年
如果你没有走错路 或者
你碰巧选择了那条对的路
那么 你的每一个日子都会过得像节日一样
热闹兴隆
生命真像是一座迷宫
尤其是在你迷路的时候
在热带雨林里, 在茂密丛林里
还有可能是沙漠 -- 天哪, 那也太热了!
这里
有生死 有荣耀 有能人异士
还有你爱的 和爱你的
就像你的家庭
以及你的宠物
那个叫海尔的兔子!
也会有偶尔出现的动物们
有些冷漠高傲 不屑与你为伍
有些却是可以陪伴你
一起走过危险的深壑险谷, 峻岭峭峰!
辉煌的生命啊
