是拉差辣酱是我们这里每一个亚洲风味餐厅必备的辣酱,是拉差辣酱初始于泰国,但是,1975年一个名叫 David Tran 的越南人改进了配方成就了现在的是拉差,后来,David 作为越南难民来到了美国并于1980年在美国成立了Huy Fong Foods,而Huy Fong 就是带他来美国的那条难民船的名字。,现在每一个越南的河粉店里,这个辣酱都是必备。是拉差的辣度不是特别的辣,对于爱吃辣的湖南人四川人来说就只能是微辣,但是,是拉差辣酱会有几个层次的味道,因此,深受广大爱好和平的人们的喜爱。
我也喜欢,家里也备有是拉差辣酱。
在家里吃饭的时候,也拌个面条,拌个炒饭什么的提提味儿。
昨天去韩国超市里买点儿菜,因为家里的是拉差吃完了,我也就顺便买一瓶是拉差辣酱。但是,走遍了整个超市,也没有看到。这个是拉差辣酱原来很多时候都是 On Sale,多的一塌糊涂,但是,昨天就愣是没有。我问了一下工作人员,哪里有是拉差辣酱,工作人员是一个劳模,用西班牙口音的英语回答,we do not have it no more.
咦?奇怪了,怎么会没有呢?估计是卖完了。
没事儿,韩国超市没有,咱去越南超市,越南人发明的是拉差辣酱,越南店肯定有呀。
转眼开车到了越南店,买了$0.99 一磅的大樱桃,买了$12.99 一箱的黄芒果,买了最近一段我特别喜欢吃的陈皮梅,买了化核应子,还买了西红柿大白菜什么的,Family man 吗,也包括买菜买肉买水果,哈哈哈。
但是,转遍了整个越南超市,愣是没有找到是拉差辣酱!
在越南超市,最不可能缺货的第一就是鱼露,第二就是是拉差辣酱,但是,今天是拉差辣酱没货了。
追根寻源吧,根据 Taste of Home 报道:
If you’ve gone to the grocery store recently and noticed Sriracha missing from the shelf, you’re not the only one. Huy Fong Foods, the company famous for its green-capped bottles of Sriracha, doesn’t have enough chiles to make its sauce, causing a major Sriracha shortage. That means some retailers are out of stock.
是拉差辣酱什么时候能够返回市场?
Unfortunately, like the weather, this Sriracha shortage is unpredictable. According to USA Today, Huy Fong doesn’t have an estimate of when it will see an increase in inventory. The company hopes to avoid future shortages, but at the moment, it’s a waiting game on when product will be back in stock.
It's available at any grocery chain. You don't need to go to the Asian grocery to look for it. Food lion has it, Harries teeter has it.
I like Sambal better. It's not so acidic like the Sriracha. Sambal sauce is very popular in Singapore cuisine. I watched vlogger Mark Wein's shows about Singapore food.
