Gabriel was VERY patient. And I’m glad that Bathsheba didn’t accept his marriage proposal until the end. She was young and needed to grow up with life experiences. Gabriel respected her and her decisions. So in the end she knew herself better and could deeply respect Gabriel as a partner.

This movie brings you back to a completely different & more simple time & place...When men had honor, enduring love, & good character, & when people understood that good is good & bad is bad. Michael Sheen did an amazing job (breaks your heart at 1:13). A touching film with beautiful scenery & cinematography. Worth a watch if you want to escape for a couple of hours from modern madness.
