F1.1.1-3 (Fascicle one Sheet one Stanza 1-3)
From Emily Dickinson’s Poems As She Preserved Them. Edited by Christine Miller
The Gentian weaves her fringes -
The Maple’s loom is red -
My departing blossoms
Obviate parade.
龙胆草织着她的裙边 -
枫树的织布机是红色 -
正离我而去的花儿们
省了一场游行。
Note: 省了一场(盛大的)游行
A brief, but patient illness -
An hour to prepare -
And one below, this morning
Is where the angels are -
It was a short procession -
The Bobolink was there -
An aged Bee addressed us -
And then knelt for prayers -
We trust that she was willing -
We ask that we may be -
Summer - Sister - Seraph!
Let us go with thee!
