Xi is now between a rock and a hard place. That’s great for the world. I am sure by now even a moron like Xi has realized that money itself is not enough to give China advanced semiconductor capabilities. However since he has already poured in tens of billions of dollars without any results, admitting failure in front of his political rivals would be suicidal. The guy is pot-vested. So he has no choice but to continue dumping more funds into this black hole. The earlier he drives China into the ground, the better off it is for the rest of the world. There is no better way to do this than burning cash on semiconductor chipsets.
