Just 4 fun, post some pictures you took in Europe here please, the Greek islands......, I agree with you that Sydney offers much better quality of life than most of the European cities, we live in London, it is a great place, but in terms of the weather, there is no comparison to Sydney, we lived in Sydney for a year a few years ago, I still miss the glorious days almost everyday.
It rains outside as, these days, it rains in our hearts.
But rain prompts us to change our focus, looking towards the inside
morethan looking towards the outside world. It prompts reflection, silence,
prompts other emotions....
.... and rain is the source of new life, for nature, for plants, for
animals, and for mankind..... and for you
...and rain prompts the desire for tomorrow's life, for the sun will
certainly come again....
...and will come and shine again and again, for you
I only just finished sorting out our photos taken in Europe. I've got sore eyes cuz we have taken near 4000 digital pictures and it's quite
a big eye job to sort them out. Though it's also a pleasure to review
them. I am now telling you a bit more of what I feel about these
places that we visited. My most favorite place is Greece, actually
Santorini to be exact. And I think the only place I wish to come back
in the future would be firmly all the islands in Greece. They are so
beautiful. I think I connect better with natural beauty rather than
oil paintings and sculptures, etc,... I am a shallow girl to that
extent I have to admit. I am not so into world history and arts, guess that's
why I didn't really appreciate enough the beauty of Rome ruin these
kind of stuff. But I do love them and was struck so many times by the
great almost impossible man work of complicated sculptures we saw in
Barcelona, Paris, London and Rome, etc,... It's indeed a good
experience as I do find things can be so different and lovely in each
different country and the personality of their people. Parisians are
truly good looking and small built in my eyes. Greeks and Italians are
very enthustic. People in Barcelona are very fashionable and vibrant.
Its city is full of beautiful art works. Barcelona is also one of our
favorite cities. One of biggest discovery is that 80% Greek speak
perfect English and guess that's also one of reason I love them. I
think Greek are best English speakers from non-English speaking back
ground in Western Europe. I knew you'll lift your eye brown when you
hear this. But yes, that's my experience. Really. The Swiss utter good
English and the people in Berlin are not bad either. But they are all
behind the Greek. Believe it or not. Haaaa!
I suppose after travel I started to sense that life means more to
fulfill. The other discovery I had after trip is I am more proud to
live in Sydney compare to the weather and living expenses in Europe.
You won't believe London was only around 15c in July (I was told by
locals they often don't have a warm Summer) and it always drizzle in
some other countries. No wonder Europe is so green in the scene. I as
well gained a lot of confidence in English speaking since I found
there are so many European hardly speak English. I won't push myself
too much now. Haaa!
Talk to you later and keep up on your good writings!
