In the next five years Beijing plans to double its effort to develop bio-energy and other renewable energy sources.
The reason is the same for any country - oil prices are soaring and fossil fuels are limited. China doesn't want these limitations to effect its economic growth.
There are four projects that are earmarked:
1. bio-energy
2. solar energy
3. wind energy
4. coal-to-liquid fuel.
