The spiritual ties bound our family

I would like to expound upon a spiritual routine for our family with full self expression and interwoven love using powerful principle of existence.

I was raised by self reliant parents. They taught me old fashions structures of a bygone era. Examples of which would be, if you need something done right, you need to do yourself. And the lord helps those who help themselves. These were ingrained into my mind from very early age. Despite of their best intention, my parents were creating a solitary human being who was incapable of humility and openness. I was taught to do everything myself and steer clear of requesting help. My parents inadvertently created a self starter.

Fortunately, I eventually sought guidance from outside myself. The genesis of my new spiritual existence was born of a relationship with God. This new conviction combined with these fervent remnants of my parents’ guidelines unearthed a world of new possibilities. A clearing opened up in my consciousness to embrace life in a family.

This brings me to the present day topic. The spiritual principles that are exemplified in my relationship with my family are the result of a mistake riddled past, and a new open mind towards the future. The solution to a full life with my wife and son requires my own willingness to change. After a long day of work, I come home to honor my wife without releasing negative emotions towards her. She deserves gratitude from me for allowing me to share this life with her and our child. If she gets upset, she is entitled to patience from me. She has endured a new language and culture. She is the one who has discarded the comfort of her familiar life in Shanghai. She and our son are precious people that epitomize love, faith, courage, perseverance, willingness among other highbrow human qualities. I saw these characteristics in her almost immediately upon our meeting. In simply writing this article, I am overwhelmed by the feelings of love and devotion. For me, it is easy to recompense my wife and child with spiritual principles.

I love them both dearly.

It's beautiful. One tool to measure the depth of a human being's maturity is the willingness of changing him/herself, rather than pointing out others' faults and expecting others to change. It requires patience, understanding, humility, sacrifice and forgiveness. We are struggling with our ego most of time. It is truly a higher spiritual level when a person breaks out of his/her own cocoon and embrace an open world.
