　　江湖中流传的一个古老的传说：有两部奇书《心术》和《法术》，得到者，可以安邦定国平天下，于是江湖中各路豪杰为了追查奇书的下落，展开了一场生与死的较量……
　　边关告急，汉武帝急于和大月支联手对抗匈奴。大月支提出的条件是请汉武帝将《心术》和《法术》赠给大月支。大月支公主萧音一人凭借过人的武艺和机智伐幸逃出。
　　皇宫失窃，少了项羽当年喜爱的九龙杯。汉武帝龙颜大怒，怀疑此事与西楚余孽有关，下令杨善和卫青追查……
　　卫青，霍去病，李敢，郭解，花如梦，萧音，霍小玉全力攻入绝情谷，却面临敌强我弱的形势。霍去病带兵攻入匈奴国土，体屠王被迫撤军回国营救。势单力薄的羊天朋被拿下，花如梦手刃仇人，完成了三代的使命。
　　郭解等班师回朝，将书献给汉武帝。巧月与霍去病成亲。花如梦自觉不愿打扰郭解与萧音，只身前往南方海岛隐居。汉武帝将书分送卫青与霍去病，强令郭解为大司马，加官进爵……郭解和萧音一起，踏上了南下寻找花如梦的路途……
