Today, Evan and I had some interesting conversations on the way home from daycare.

I forgot what we were talking about, but out of nowhere, and a complete change of topic, Evan said to me: “Mommy, I am a genius!”

“You are? Wow, you are so special! Do you know what genius is?”

“No, I don’t know.” He answered without any hesitation which just seemed so funny.

We then talked about what to eat for dinner. I know Evan doesn’t like to eat tofu, so I teased him: “How about mommy cooking some tofu for dinner tonight?”

“No! I don’t like tofu! I am allergic to tofu. Mom, do you know I am allergic to all the food I don’t like?”

What a good excuse he made up! I laughed and said: “No, that’s news to me. So what’s going to happen if you eat tofu?”

“I am going to have babies.”

I could not help but laughing out loud.

Evan then mentioned that he wanted to try hot dogs for dinner tonight. I was so surprised. Olivia loves hot dogs but Evan doesn’t even touch it. The only time he had a bite was two weeks ago in front of the Natural/> History/> Museum/>/> in DC as that was the only food they had there. He tried a bite and commented: “Hmm, hot dog tastes like meat balls.”

I said to Evan: “That’s fine if you want to try hot dogs tonight.  But like French fries, we can only eat hot dogs once in a while as it is not healthy food, okay?”

“Yes, it’s healthy! It makes your brain better!” he claimed.
