A Full-time School Called Life

(From internet)

You are enrolled in a full-time school called "
life". Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or hate them, but you have designed them as part of your curriculum.

Why are you here? What is your purpose? Humans have sought to discover the meaning of life for a very ling time. What we and our ancestors have overlooked, however, is there is no one answer. The meaning of life is different for every individual. Each person has his or her own purpose and distinct path, unique and separate from anyone else's. As you travel your life path, you will be presented with numerous lessons that you will need to learn in order to fulfill that purpose. The lessons you are presented with are specific to you; learning these lessons is the key to discovering and fulfilling the meaning and relevance of your own life.

As you travel through your lifetime, you may encounter challenging lessons that others don't have to face, while other spend years struggling with challenges that you don't need to deal with. You may never know why you are blessed with a wonderful marriage, while your friends suffer through bitter arguments and painful divorces, just as you cannot be sure why you struggle financially while your peers enjoy abundance. The only thing you can count on for certain is that you will be presented with all the lessons that you specifically need to learn; whether you choose to learn them or not is entirely up to you.

The challenge here, therefore, is to align yourself with your own unique path by learning individual lessons. This is one of the most difficult challenges you will be faced with in your lifetime, as sometimes your path will be radically different from others. But, remember, don't compare your path to the people around you and focus on the disparity between their lessons and yours. You need to remember that you will only be faced with lessons that you are capable of learning and are specific to your own growth.

This process may not be easy, but the rewards are well worth the struggle.

Thank you for your comment under my picture. Yes, I feel obligated to turn my head after reading your charming imagination, so that I can be recognized real out side of dance floor and in real life. I like to be real, to give me right perspective :-)

Haha... welcome aboard! I thought I am the only dull one who is professionally serious. Here comes you.

Guess what? whenever I reply you, I inevitably think of your black and white picture, the one you were standing in the ballroom. So elegant and so charming. Like a saintly statue or a blooming flower. Even I did know what you look like, my wild imagination could not resist picturing the beautiful smiles on your face while you just turned around. I admit the illusive beauty of ballroom dances, especially the international standard, attracts me most.:-))

I was lucky to receive several pics from another e-sis a couple days ago. She was also in her dancing dress. Hmm,now I am thinking of dressing up myself and take some pitures. Set it as my new motivation, hehe...

I'd like to be complete and thorough whenever I can. But, sometimes can not get there right away. Too serious, is it?

I enjoy thoughts and ideas, and it's true that sometimes it needs to be further developed and needs to be mature along time. A life long process, maybe.

Thanks for your positive attitude and encouragement. I didn't feel you lose yourself, need new motivation? maybe?

Take it easy Flamenco_girl. Comments only reflect some of our perspectives, maybe only apply for a certain period of time. An essay is only able to tell us one thing instead of everything. So no sorry at all.

I am positive we are all living because we are always trying to expand our potentials as far as we can, trying to get better and better, we have our goals and enjoy ourselves at the same time, though sometimes we lose ourselves a little bit (I am now in this status, hehe...).

It is amazing that you are able to read my mind and voice what I missed. I really admire and cherish your thoughts cultivated through your life experiences.

Let's transfor bitter obligations and responsibilities to sweet ones and enjoy living everyday.

You haev a good one.

I'm sorry Melly, I realized that I missed your "goal". I guess what I was rambling is that both goal-driven type and process-driven type can "live".

Have a nice weekend.

I can understand that you mean obligations and responsibilities are part of life to live as well, which are somethings "have to do". I agree too, and maybe, it's a middle process for something you like to do :-)

Your 2 cents + mine will be the whole thing. hehe...

The answer is highly individual dependent.

Have a good one.

I guess the difference between living and existing originates from the attitude, one is pro-active and another is passive. One is in the state of "I like to ...", and another in "I have to ..." most of the time. My 2 cents.

It is true. But I think people have to ask from time to time just in case they keep existing instead of living.

What do you think the difference between existing and living? To me, one lives a life when he has a specific goal.

Someone said, you don't ask for the meaning of life when you are busy living it.

As a student of this special school, one doesn't need to enroll. But it is hard to graduate even if everyone has an end. Some may satisfy with their performance, some don't. It depends on the disparity bwteen expectations and outcomes. One is allowed and encouraged to decorate the lessons with happiness, joy and fun as long as one keeps on the right track.

This is really a life-time school. Everybody graduates when he/she arrives the end of the life.

This school is also quite different from the others. The enrollment is easy as well as the graduation is. However, the learning process is tough beyond any words can describe.

Can we reform the school into a land of peach blossoms? Free, peaceful and pleasant.
