Now when the news is announced 2:15PM, there is typically a pattern of trading that occurs. Whichever direction the market was headed before the announcement is usually reversed for short while, like half an hour, and then that reversal is itself reversed and the market starts heading back in its original direction. It\'s sort of like a NFL running back who wants to fake out the defense, juking one way and then another on the path toward his predetermined route.
