One of my greatest strengths is my problem-solving skills.
I can always figure out the problems and bring up possible solutions in a timely manner. Based on the situation of the problem, I could make decisions to pick the best solution independently, within a team or with managements.
For example, on a recent project that I built up a new application server last week, there were new requirement of fixing vulnerabilities caused by the vendor’s code. The vendor didn’t want to publish more details about the vulnerabilities to the client because of concerns about bringing more hacks due to their product’s defects. With few information on hand, my boss even thought giving up and waiting for other schools bringing up solutions. I didn’t want the database under unsecured so I investigated in the code, figured out the ways how hackers may do about SQL injection to break in the database security. After just one day, I found out the source of the problem and brought up the solution to fix it. After trying of hack by the networking security officer, the system’s secured at this moment regarding to the vulnerabilities.
