Randers Rain Forest-1

Randers Rain Forest is located in the centre of Randers, between Randers City and the river Gudenåen. One of Denmark's biggest tourist attractions, featuring three different rain forest continents under separate domes; South America, Asia and Africa.

A fantastic environment in which you can wander around in a tropical climate between giant liana vines, buttress trees, a roaring waterfall and over 250 animal species. You can help the guides feed the animals or maybe you would like to get involved with the weighing of the Rainforests longest snake? You will get your chance the second Tuesday in August.
At easter the Rain Forest opens the new snake enclosure. From the summer 2008 visitors can witness animal life around the buttressed roots of a giant tree. Here you can find armadillos, leaf-cutting ants and last but not least, the world's heaviest constrictor, the green anaconda.

Tree-top walking where it's possiable to look into the eyes of the two toed sloths and the scarlet macaws. It's a fantastic experience to walk at 8 meters height and view the South Afican dome from above.
Like in a typical rainforest you can see free flying macaws. For many of our guests it is a great feeling to see so many different types of wildlife walking free, often on the rocks or along the pathways, so it is possible to experience them close up.

Take a break and enjoy light refreshments in the Rain Forest Café, with a view over the huge playground and mini-zoo, or bring your own picnic along, which you can eat either on the Rain Forest premises or in the Vorup Meadows nature reserve, adjacent to Randers Rain Forest.
