酒乡之旅(下)

下午我们的任务就是品酒。Napa有大大小小700多个各有特色的winery.有的是地中海风格,有的像南法庄园,有的模仿意大利古堡,有的有西班牙殖民气息。我们到处转悠,看到顺眼的酒庄就停下来。 LG一直挺喜欢Beaulieu Vineyard产的酒,说他们家的cabernet sauvignon没得说。我对红酒没有兴趣,觉得不是酸就是苦。去BV喝了他们的private reserve之后,才改变了看法。好的Cab真是顺口~,醇到不行,味道立体,加上木桶散发的woody,nutty flavor,几乎有巧克力的香气!

Robert Mondavi算是Napa的泰斗级别。早先winery并不提供品酒,他们是第一家提供品酒的酒庄,并开放葡萄园,解说葡萄酒的制作工程,参观酒窖的行祀。之后其他winery纷纷效仿,让Napa变成现今的旅游圣地。

当晚,我们入住Napa的Marriott. 酒店每晚5:30到6:30在lounge还有免费的品酒party.
到了吃晚饭的时间,我们去了downtown的Zuzu,加州化的西班牙 Tapa餐厅。

羊排外焦里嫩,texture掌握的很好。Paella用的是龙虾高汤,并且有蛮多蟹肉的,鲜!

因为是Tapa,所以分量都很小。味道很不错,但是如果你很饿,我不会推荐,价钱和分量非常不成正比。

第三天我们又去了一个叫Peju的酒庄,还没进去我就喜欢上这个红果掩映的地方

午饭,我们去了Bistro Don Giovanni,意大利和法国乡村的混合风格。
上好的橄榄油是意大利面包最忠实的搭档~,Pasta也都很好吃

他们说,在法国,要找到一家难吃的餐厅不容易。在Napa也一样。也许这里的水土好,农产品长得好,餐厅的东西自然也好吃。不过,在这里吃饭一点不便宜。两个人不点酒都可以easily hit $70-80. 但也值,美食本来就是旅行的一部分,不能光让眼睛享受,却不在乎胃的感受。

这次微醺的酒乡之旅就在吃吃喝喝中结束了,我带回一个围裙做纪念。

5.Peju: Provence---Table wine (Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Chardonnay). Light, floral, poetic...Fresh ripe fruit and strawberry on the palate. This is not a wine with great complexity. Not trying to make a big statement, it's simply pleasant!
