离恨恰如春草

From Amy:

清平乐
Missing You

别来春半,
触目愁肠断。
砌下落梅如雪乱,
拂了一身还满。
How many blooming seasons have passed
Since I saw you last?
Always a twinge at one’s heart
At the sight of such spring.
There are petals flying about, like snowflakes in winter time,
Brushed off, and then covering one anew.

雁来音信无凭,
路遥归梦难成。
离恨恰如春草,
更行更远还生。
Empty email box, with no message incoming.
An ocean in between,
Renders return but a sweet dream.
The pangs of being apart, like wild weeds in spring time,
They grow and grow, and then engulf one whole.

My reply:

Ten blooming seasons have passed
Since I saw you last.
It aches my heart so
to see another spring, come then bypast.
Petals of plum are flying about, like snowflakes falling fast.
Brushed off, yet covering again in full blast.

Mails fewer and fewer,
drifted further and further,
When to return I am unable to forecast.
The pains of being apart, hurt like the wild spring grass,
growing and growing, vast and steadfast.
