The church is huge. According to Wikipedia: "It is the largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world."

We climbed the Giralda, a former minaret that was converted to a bell tower. It has ramps all the way up, and when the bell rang, it was deafening!!! But it was all worth it, because the view up there was beautiful.

19. When we took this picture using zoom, we didn't really notice the modern structure in the middle. Later when we got home, we found out it is called "Metropol Parasol". It is the world's largest wooden structure. It was not mentioned by any guide book we had read because it wasn't completely finished until we left Seville. Wish we had known!
