邓文迪在老公出席英国议院听证会时，为老公被羞辱而出手的镜头传遍了全世界。不少西方媒体是赞誉多，不少新词用了上来：“TigerWife”是来自耶鲁大学著名的华裔教授Amy Chua形容亚裔妈妈时用的“Tiger Mother”的灵感，而“CouchingTiger”是来自电影藏龙卧虎(“Couching Tiger, HiddenDragon”)的灵感和形容坐在老公后面的邓女士跳起来反击的敏捷。看看CNN的剪辑和提到的其他著名人士被羞辱后的反应，有老公在老婆被人羞辱后，拿起盘子追出门再反扣在袭击者脸上的：

今天早晨起床，匆匆忙忙和儿子吃完早饭，给儿子看了CNN的录像和讲解。俺随口问哈哈大笑的儿子：找老婆是不是要找这样的？他回答得很干脆：“Yes!”.

看样子儿子以后又是一个“妻管严”。
