交响组曲《乔家大院》是我国第一部以商业文化为题材的中西合璧的交响组曲，其精神内涵是——爱国、诚信、创新、进取。作品以民族交响乐的形式表现晋商精神，融合了多种音乐元素。在乐器的安排上，除了传统的民族乐器外，还采用了具有浓郁山西地方特色乐器的晋胡、二股弦，使之与交响乐队结合，完美的交融了中西方音乐。
