Today is cooking demo-making the cottage cheese dip.

 

It is perfact for fruits and veggie,make them into healthy and yummy snacks.

 

Ingredients:

 

2 cups cottage 2% cheese

2 tbs lemon juice

1 tbs dried parsley or 1/4 cup fresh parsley

2 tbs of chopped fresh onion or 2 tsp dried onion

1 tbs lower fat mayonnaise

1/4 tsp pepper

 

How to make:

 

In blender or food processor,blend cottage cheese and other ingredients until creamy and smooth

 

Enjoy with fresh vegetables or use in sandwiches,on pasta etc.

 

Note: If use for fruit,add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of finely grated orange rind.If you wish the dip to be sweeter,add 1 tbs of honey!

 

Serve cottage cheese tip to make great snacks:

 

Ants on a Log-savory basic dip,raisins and celery sticks

Broccoli trees-broccoli,carrot sticks,savory basic dip

peach or apricot half filled with sweet basic dip filling

Tortilla chips or veggies with savory basic dip

savory basic dip Happy Face whole wheat English muffin

sweet basic dip fruit flower etc..

 

We tried all these different snacks one by one, yummy,and so healthy.They are good for the eyes and for the body.
