通过研究《The 17 Day Diet》中的菜谱可以发现。除了没有和Dr. Brown所要求前两星期不能吃水果外,好些地方都相同。哪就是低糖,少吃淀粉类的食物,多喝水,运动。此书的瘦身法分4个周期。我个人认为此书的方法比Dr. Brown的要可行,能被大多数人接受。
