Russian Romanticism
by Lostalley
This morning of just another mundane day, on my way to work, a wavering sound from the car radio chilled me unexpectedly. It was Russian composer Alexander Glazunov's Concert of Waltz No.1. My heart was filled joys and tears. It brings back most sensuous moments: first kiss, first springtime bird singing, last drop of autumn rain, last gust of winter storm, by the oceanfront, near the lakeside, next to a pond, when you heart and soul are pure and kind, when you fall in love with beauty, tenderness, imagination like a fleeting and changing white cloud hued with rays of sunshine......life then was noble, inspiring and optimistic, day and night, dusk and dawn. I was gliding like an eagle over mountain cliffs in blue sky. Close your eyes and listen.......
