Meanwhile the NASDAQ is back to highs last seen in March of 2000 and this area itself is a likely cause of resistance and one of the reasons why volume might be lacking. Of course, there are many additional factors such as the strong dollar. If this index can't break through this area and then happens to turn down people will look back and say "didn't you see that double top?"
Let's take a look at a monthly chart of the NASDAQ where we can clearly see this Double Top area. At the bottom right of this chart I highlighted the lack of volume which should be about double what we see today considering we are halfway through this month.
